Banner Engineering SM2A31RL is a photo-electric sensor designed for through-beam system applications with opposed mode potentiometer adjustment. This sensor, part of the SM2A312 series, features a thermoplastic housing with an acrylic lens and is equipped with a pre-wired 6.5ft / 2m cable terminated with bare end flying leads. It operates on a supply voltage of 24Vac-240Vac (200Vac / 220Vac nom.) and can be mounted using an M18 threaded mount. The SM2A31RL operates within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70°C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, NEMA 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, 12, and 13. Its rectangular shape incorporates 1 x digital output (Solid-state AC output; SPST contact type) and can sense objects up to 30m away. The sensor emits infrared light with a wavelength of 880 nm and has a response time of 2ms / 0.002 s. It supports both Light-ON and Dark-ON operating modes.
