Banner Engineering SM2A312FVG is a photo-electric fiber optic sensor within the SM2A312 series, featuring a potentiometer adjustment specifically designed for glass fiber applications. This sensor is housed in thermoplastic with an acrylic lens and comes pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable that terminates in bare end flying leads. It operates on a supply voltage of 24Vac-240Vac, with nominal voltages of 200Vac and 220Vac, and can be mounted using an M18 threaded mount. The SM2A312FVG is designed to function within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70°C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, NEMA 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, 12, and 13, ensuring its suitability for a wide range of environmental conditions. It features a rectangular shape, one digital output (solid-state AC output; SPST contact type), emits visible green light with a wavelength of 650 nm, and has a response time of 8ms / 0.008 s.
