About the product
Banner Engineering SM312DM5V is a photo-electric sensor from the SM312 series, designed with a diffuse mode potentiometer adjustment. This sensor features a thermoplastic housing with an acrylic lens and is pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable terminated with bare end flying leads. It operates on a 5Vdc supply voltage and is mounted using an M18 threaded mount. The SM312DM5V can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -20 to +70°C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, NEMA 1, NEMA 2, NEMA 3, NEMA 3S, NEMA 4, NEMA 4X, NEMA 6, and NEMA 12. Its rectangular shape incorporates 1 x digital output (PNP/NPN transistor) and can sense objects up to a distance of 380mm. The sensor emits infrared (IR) light and has a response time of 0.3ms / 0.0003 s, with operating modes that include Light-ON and Dark-ON.
