S12SN6R Banner Proximity Sensors

Banner Engineering S12SN6R is a photo-electric sensor designed as part of the S12 series, featuring a through-beam system in an opposed mode configuration. This sensor functions as a receiver alone, constructed with a thermoplastic housing, polycarbonate lens, and a polyurethane end cap. It is pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable that terminates with bare end flying leads for connection. The S12SN6R operates on a supply voltage range of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal voltages of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. It is designed to function within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +70 degrees Celsius and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67 NEMA 6P. The sensor has a cylindrical threaded/barrel shape with an M12 thread size. It features one digital output (NPN transistor; complementary NO/NC), a sensing distance of up to 15 meters, and emits visible red light with a wavelength of 680 nm. The response times are 3ms for turning on and 1.5ms for turning off, with operating modes that include Light-ON and Dark-ON.
