About the product
Banner Engineering SME312FP is a photo-electric fiber optic sensor from the SME312 Expert series, designed with TEACH mode functionality. This sensor features a thermoplastic housing and plastic fiber optics, ensuring durability and compatibility with various applications. It comes pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable that terminates with bare end flying leads for easy installation. The SME312FP operates on a supply voltage range of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and can function within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70°C. It boasts a high degree of protection, rated at IP67 and compliant with multiple NEMA standards, including 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, 12, and 13, making it suitable for a wide range of environmental conditions. The sensor's rectangular shape is designed for straightforward mounting, and it features one digital output (PNP/NPN transistor), capable of operating in both Light-ON and Dark-ON modes. With a visible red light color, a response time of 0.5ms, and a wavelength of 650 nm, the SME312FP is engineered for precise and rapid detection tasks.
