About the product
Banner Engineering SM31RPD is a photo-electric sensor designed as part of the SM312 series, featuring a through-beam system with opposed mode potentiometer adjustment. This sensor functions as a receiver alone, housed in a thermoplastic casing with an acrylic lens. It comes pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable that terminates with bare end flying leads. The SM31RPD operates on a supply voltage range of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. It is designed for M18 threaded mount installation and can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70 degrees Celsius. This sensor offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, NEMA 1, NEMA 2, NEMA 3, NEMA 3S, NEMA 4, NEMA 4X, NEMA 6, and NEMA 12. It has a rectangular shape, includes 1 x digital output (PNP/NPN transistor), and provides a sensing distance of 300mm. The light color is visible red, with a response time of 1ms / 0.001 s, and it supports both Light-ON and Dark-ON operating modes.
