Product description
PULS YR40.241 is a redundancy unit belonging to the Y-series, designed with a built-in decoupling MOSFET for 1+1 or N+1 redundancy configurations and ATEX approval. It operates with a supply voltage range of 8.4Vdc to 36.4Vdc, supporting nominal voltages of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The unit measures 36mm in width, 124mm in height, and 127mm in depth, featuring screw-clamp connections for secure installation. It is rated for a current of 40A at 28Vdc and is suitable for DIN rail mounting. The YR40.241 can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -40 to +70°C. It has a peak inrush current consumption of 1000A at input voltages between 8.4 and 36.4Vdc. Protection functions include short-circuit protection with a 65A threshold at 6V. The unit supports series or parallel operation for 1+1 redundancy, utilizing two identical power supplies, or N+1 redundancy with three or more power supplies, ensuring isolation between power supply outputs. The output voltage range is 12-28Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. Power dissipation losses are 2.15W for inputs of 2x10A and 2.65W for a 20A input. Electrical durability is rated at 553,000 hours at 40°C with a 20A output from 2x10A inputs, and 1,563,000 hours at 25°C with a 40A output from 2x10A inputs. The output stage capacitance is 320µF, with a ripple of 72mVpp across a frequency range of 20Hz to 20MHz at 50Ω.
