Product description
PULS YR40.245 is a redundancy unit within the Y-series, designed for single-input redundancy module applications, featuring 1 x input and 1 x output with built-in decoupling MOSFETs suitable for 1+1 or N+1 redundancy configurations. It has ATEX approval for hot-swappable connectors and operates on a supply voltage range of 8.4Vdc to 36.4Vdc, with nominal voltages of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The unit measures 46mm in width, 124mm in height, and 127mm in depth, and utilizes screw-clamp connections for secure installation. It is rated for a current of 40A at 28Vdc, with a derating to 1A at temperatures ranging from +60°C to +70°C. Designed for DIN rail mounting, it can operate in ambient air temperatures from -40°C to +70°C. The YR40.245 has a peak inrush current consumption of 1500A and offers protection functions including short-circuit protection with a 22A threshold at 6V. It supports both series and parallel operation for 1+1 and N+1 redundancy, ensuring continued operation through the use of two or more identical power supplies in parallel. The output voltage range is 12-28Vdc, with power dissipation/losses of 1.8W at 20A input and 6.2W at 40A input. Its electrical durability is rated at 557,000 hours at 40°C and 20A output, and 1,576,000 hours at 25°C and 40A output. The output stage capacitance is 320µF, with a ripple of 80mVpp at 1x20A and 150mVpp at 40A, across a frequency range of 20Hz to 20MHz at 50Ω.
