PULS YR40.482 is a redundancy unit belonging to the Y-series, designed with a built-in decoupling MOSFET for 1+1 or N+1 redundancy configurations and ATEX approval. The unit measures 46mm in width, 124mm in height, and 127mm in depth, featuring screw-clamp connections for secure installation. It is rated for a current of 40A at 56Vdc, with a derating to 1A at temperatures ranging from +60°C to +70°C. Designed for DIN rail mounting, it can function within an ambient air temperature range of -40°C to +70°C. The YR40.482 has a peak inrush current consumption of 1000A and offers protection functions including short-circuit protection with a 45A threshold at 6V. It supports both series and parallel operation for 1+1 and N+1 redundancy, ensuring continuous operation by using two or more identical power supplies in parallel. The output voltage range is 24-56Vdc, with power dissipation/losses of 1.8W for 2x10A input and 2.3W for 20A input. Its electrical durability is rated at 448000 hours at 40°C for 20A output with 2x10A input and 222000 hours for 40A output with 2x20A input. At 25°C, durability extends to 1267000 hours for 20A output with 2x10A input and 629000 hours for 40A output with 2x20A input. The output stage capacitance is 310 µF, with a ripple of 60mVpp across a frequency range of 20Hz to 20MHz at 50Ω.
