Product description
PULS YR40.242 is a redundancy unit belonging to the Y-series, designed with a built-in decoupling MOSFET for 1+1 or N+1 redundancy configurations and holds ATEX approval. It operates with a supply voltage range of 8.4Vdc to 36.4Vdc, supporting nominal voltages of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The unit measures 36mm in width, 124mm in height, and 127mm in depth, featuring screw-clamp connections for secure installation. It is rated for a current of 40A at 28Vdc, with a derating to 1A at temperatures ranging from +60°C to +70°C. Designed for DIN rail mounting, it can function within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +70°C. The YR40.242 has a peak inrush current consumption of 1000A and includes protection functions against short-circuits, with a threshold of 26A at 6V. It supports both series and parallel operations for 1+1 and N+1 redundancy, ensuring continuous operation by using two or more identical power supplies in parallel. The output voltage is maintained between 12-28Vdc, with power dissipation losses of 1.7W for 2x10A input at 8.4-36.4Vdc and 2.4W for 20A input. Its electrical durability is rated at 672000 hours at 40°C with a 20A output from 2x10A input, and up to 1900000 hours at 25°C with a 40A output from 2x10A input. The output stage capacitance is 320µF, with a ripple of 72mVpp across a frequency range of 20Hz to 20MHz at 50Ω.
