About the product
Banner Engineering SM31RLE is a photo-electric sensor from the SM312 series, designed with a through-beam system and opposed mode potentiometer adjustment. This sensor features a thermoplastic housing with an acrylic lens and is pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable terminated with bare end flying leads. It operates on a supply voltage of 10Vdc-30Vdc, with 12Vdc and 24Vdc as nominal values, and can be mounted using an M18 threaded mount. The SM31RLE is capable of functioning within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70°C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, NEMA 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, and 12. It has a rectangular shape, includes 1 x digital output (PNP/NPN transistor), and provides a sensing distance of up to 30m. The sensor emits infrared (IR) light, has a response time of 1ms / 0.001 s, and supports both Light-ON and Dark-ON operating modes.
