Q5XKLAF2000-Q8-PFM Banner Proximity Sensors

Banner Engineering Q5XKLAF2000-Q8-PFM is a Class 2 laser adjustable-field photo-electric sensor designed for precise detection tasks. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +50 °C and features a background/foreground suppression system with dual discrete output and IO Link TEACH mode, defaulting PFM output on Channel 2. This sensor is equipped with a 4-pin Euro-style M12 connector for connectivity. Part of the Q5X series, it offers an IP67 degree of protection, making it suitable for various industrial environments. The sensor requires a supply voltage of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with 12Vdc and 24Vdc as nominal values. Its rectangular shape is constructed from a thermoplastic housing with a Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) window. Communication is facilitated via IO-Link protocol. The Q5XKLAF2000-Q8-PFM can sense distances ranging from 9.5cm to 2m and utilizes a visible class 2 red laser with a wavelength of 650 nm. It includes 2 x digital outputs (PNP/NPN transistor / IO-Link) for versatile application in automation setups.
