RU50U-S18-LI8X Turck Ultrasonic Sensors

Turck RU50U-S18-LI8X is an ultrasonic sensor from the RU50U series featuring a 20° sonic cone diffuse mode for front sensing. This sensor is equipped with TEACH-by-wire functionality for precise adjustments. It is constructed with a durable LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) housing, a sensing face made from PET (Polyethylene terephthalate), PU (Polyurethane), and Epoxy, and an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap. The sensor is designed for easy installation, coming pre-wired with a 2m / 6.5ft cable that terminates with bare end flying leads. It operates on a supply voltage of 15-30Vdc, with 24Vdc as the nominal voltage, and can function within an ambient air temperature range of -20°C to +50°C. The RU50U-S18-LI8X offers a high degree of protection with an IP67 rating and features a partially threaded barrel shape with an M18 thread size. It has a sensing distance of 50-500mm and a current consumption of 50mA under no-load conditions. For outputs, it provides one digital output (15-30Vdc; PNP; fixed threshold) and one analog output (4-20mA), ensuring versatile connectivity options. The sensor also includes protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed) and reverse polarity, with a measurement accuracy (resolution) of 0.2mm.
