RU50U-S18-AN8X Description

Turck RU50U-S18-AN8X is an ultrasonic sensor from the RU50U series, designed with a 20° sonic cone diffuse mode for front sensing. This sensor features ultrasonic sensor TEACH-by-wire functionality and is constructed with a Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) housing, a sensing face made from PET (Polyethylene terephthalate), PU (Polyurethane), and Epoxy, and an end cap of EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber). It comes pre-wired with a 2m / 6.5ft cable that terminates with bare end flying leads. The sensor operates on a supply voltage of 15-30Vdc, with a nominal voltage of 24Vdc, and can function within an ambient air temperature range of -20°C to +50°C. It is rated with a degree of protection IP67 and has a partially threaded barrel shape with an M18 thread size. The RU50U-S18-AN8X offers a digital output (20-30Vdc; NPN; 150mA max.), a sensing distance of 50-500mm, and a no-load current consumption of 50mA. Its maximum switching frequency is 9.6Hz, and it includes protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed) and reverse polarity. The operating mode is NO (Normally Open), and it boasts a measurement accuracy (resolution) of 0.2mm.
