RU50U-S18-AP8X Turck Ultrasonic Sensors

Turck RU50U-S18-AP8X is an ultrasonic sensor from the RU50U series, designed with a 20° sonic cone diffuse mode for front sensing. It features ultrasonic sensor TEACH-by-wire functionality and is constructed with a Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) housing, a sensing face made from PET (Polyethylene terephthalate), PU (Polyurethane), and Epoxy, and an EPTR (Ethylene Propylene Terpolymer Rubber) end cap. This sensor is pre-wired with a 2m / 6.5ft cable that terminates with bare end flying leads. It operates on a supply voltage of 15-30Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc, and can function within an ambient air temperature range of -20°C to +50°C. The RU50U-S18-AP8X offers an IP67 degree of protection and comes in an M18 partially threaded barrel shape. It has one digital output (20-30Vdc; PNP; 150mA max.), a sensing distance of 50-500mm, and a no-load current consumption of 50mA. The sensor's maximum switching frequency is 9.6Hz, and it includes protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed) and reverse polarity. Its operating mode is NO (Normally Open), with a thread size of M18 and a measurement accuracy (resolution) of 0.2mm.
