Turck BC5-S18-Y1X-0.2-RS4.21T is a sensor designed for proximity detection with capacitive functionality, belonging to the BC...-S18 series. This intrinsically-safe capacitive proximity sensor/switch is ATEX compliant and embeddable. It operates with a supply voltage of 8.2Vdc and features a housing and sensing face made of PA12-GF30, a glass fiber reinforced Polyamide. The sensor is equipped with a pre-wired 20cm / 8" pigtail cable that terminates with a 4-pin M12 Eurofast QD male connector. Its design includes an M18 partially threaded barrel shape, ensuring a degree of protection rated at IP65. The sensor can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C and includes 1 x digital output (8.2Vdc; NAMUR) for connectivity. It has a sensing distance of 5mm and utilizes an M18 thread size for installation.
