BC5-S18-AN4X Turck Capacitive Sensors

Turck BC5-S18-AN4X is a capacitive proximity sensor/switch that falls under the BC...-S18 series. This embeddable design sensor operates with a supply voltage range of 10-65Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc, 24Vdc, and 48Vdc. It features a housing and sensing face made of PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) and a PVC cable jacket. The sensor is connected via a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft cable terminated with bare end flying leads. It has an M18 partially threaded barrel shape and offers an IP67 degree of protection. The maximum switching frequency is 100Hz, and it can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C. The sensor includes 1 x digital output (10-65Vdc; NPN; 200mA max.) and has a no-load current consumption of 15mA. Its sensing distance is 5mm, and it features protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The control circuit is rated at 200mA / 0.2 A, with a thread size of M18 and operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode.
