About the product

Anybus by HMS Networks AB7860-F is a gateway belonging to the X-gateway series designed to function as a protocol translator gateway. It supports installation in both vertical and flat positions and features galvanic isolation on both BUS/Ethernet sides. The I/O configuration is manageable via a USB port using the Anybus Configuration Manager software. This device integrates a DeviceNet adapter and a Modbus RTU slave, equipped with 21 configuration switches and 10 LED indicators for fieldbus, sub-network, and device status monitoring. It requires a supply voltage ranging from 19.2 to 28.8Vdc, with a nominal voltage of 24Vdc. The dimensions of the AB7860-F are H127mm x W44mm x D114mm, and it is constructed from aluminium and plastic housing. Connection interfaces include a 5-pin plug-in connector for DeviceNet, a 9-pin D-sub female connector for serial RS-232/RS-485 (Modbus RTU), a 2-poles 5.08mm plug-in screw connector for power (X3), and a USB connector (X4). It offers an IP20 NEMA 1 degree of protection and is designed for DIN rail mounting. The communication protocols supported are DeviceNet, Modbus RTU, and RS-485. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25 to +65°C and consumes a maximum of 400mA current at 24Vdc, with a typical consumption of 200mA. The device can be stored in temperatures ranging from -40 to +85°C and operates at speeds of 125kbit/s, 250kbit/s, and 500kbit/s for DeviceNet, and 12kbit/s to 57.6kbit/s for Modbus. It is designed to function in environments with 5-95% relative humidity (non-condensing).
