About the product

Anybus by HMS Networks AB7821-F is a gateway within the X-gateway series designed to function as a protocol translator between AS-Interface and PROFIBUS networks. It supports vertical or flat installation and features galvanic isolation on both BUS/Ethernet sides. The I/O configuration is manageable via a USB port using the Anybus Configuration Manager software. This model incorporates an AS-Interface master and a PROFIBUS slave, equipped with 2 x node address switches (x10 / x1), 10 x LED indicators for fieldbus/sub-network/device status, and 1 x on-board configuration button. It requires a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and has dimensions of H127mm x W44mm x D114mm. The housing is made from aluminium and plastic, ensuring durability and resilience. Connection options include 1 x 9-pin D-sub female connector for PROFIBUS, 1 x 9-pin D-sub male connector for serial RS-232 configuration, 1 x 2-poles 5.08mm plug-in screw connector for power (X3), and 1 x USB connector (X4). It offers an IP20 NEMA 1 degree of protection and is designed for DIN rail mounting. The communication protocols supported are AS-interface and PROFIBUS, with an ambient air temperature for operation ranging from -25 to +65°C. The current consumption is 400mA (max) at 24Vdc and 200mA (typical), with an ambient air temperature for storage between -40 and +85°C. The speed capabilities are 167kbit/s for AS-interface and up to 12Mbit/s for PROFIBUS, operating in environments with 5-95% relative humidity (non-condensing).
