About the product

Anybus by HMS Networks AB7802-F is a gateway within the X-gateway series designed for protocol translation. It functions as a PROFIBUS master and DeviceNet adapter, facilitating communication between these two networks. The gateway requires a vertical or flat installation position and features galvanic isolation on both the BUS and Ethernet sides to prevent electrical interference. Configuration is managed via a USB port using the Anybus Configuration Manager software. The AB7802-F is equipped with 8 configuration switches and 10 LED indicators for comprehensive status monitoring of fieldbus, sub-network, and devices. It operates on a supply voltage range of 19.2-28.8Vdc, with a nominal voltage of 24Vdc, and has dimensions of H127mm x W44mm x D114mm. The housing is made from aluminium and plastic, ensuring durability and resilience. Connection options include a 5-pin plug-in connector for DeviceNet, a 9-pin D-sub female connector and a 9-pin D-sub male connector for PROFIBUS, a 2-poles 5.08mm plug-in screw connector for power, and a USB connector for configuration. The AB7802-F offers an IP20 and NEMA 1 degree of protection and is designed for DIN rail mounting. It supports communication protocols DeviceNet and PROFIBUS, operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25 to +65°C, and consumes a maximum of 400mA current at 24Vdc. Storage temperature ranges from -40 to +85°C. The gateway can handle speeds up to 12Mbit/s for PROFIBUS and between 125kbit/s to 500kbit/s for DeviceNet, operating in environments with 5-95% relative humidity (non-condensing).
