Banner Engineering PIAT16U is a fiber optic sensor designed for precise detection tasks, featuring a through-beam system with an opposed mode pair of individual fibers positioned side by side in a right-angled sensing configuration. This sensor is part of the Plastic fiber series, characterized by a 0.5mm fiber core diameter and a 6ft (2m) length. It is built with a cylindrical (threaded) brass sensing end, while the fiber itself is made of plastic, and the sheath is constructed from polyethylene (PE), ensuring durability and compatibility with a variety of applications.
