About the product
Banner Engineering M18TUP6E is a non-contact Infrared (IR) temperature sensor/transmitter, part of the M18T series, designed for temperature measurement. This sensor features an enclosed plastic optical lens and operates with a TEACH mode for easy setup. It is constructed with a stainless steel 304 housing, ABS / Polycarbonate (PC) push button housing, Thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) push button, and acrylic light pipes, ensuring durability and resilience. The M18TUP6E is pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable terminated with bare end flying leads for connectivity and supports a supply voltage range of 12Vdc-30Vdc, with 24Vdc nominal. It can measure temperatures from 0 to +300°C and is suitable for ambient air temperatures ranging from -20 to +70°C. The sensor is protected to IP67 NEMA 6 standards, making it resistant to dust and water ingress. It offers 1 x analog output (0-10Vdc) and 1 x digital output (PNP transistor) for alarm signaling, with a response time of 75ms / 0.075 s. The M18 cylindrical threaded/barrel shape and M18 thread size facilitate easy installation in various applications.
