About the product
Banner Engineering M18TIP8 is a non-contact Infrared (IR) temperature sensor/transmitter within the M18T series. It features an integrated optical lens and operates in TEACH mode. The sensor is designed with a stainless steel 304 housing, ABS / Polycarbonate (PC) push button housing, Thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) push button, and acrylic light pipes for the integrated lens. It comes pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The M18TIP8 requires a supply voltage of 12Vdc-30Vdc, with 24Vdc nominal, and can measure temperatures ranging from 0 to +300°C. It is suitable for ambient air temperatures from -20 to +70°C. This sensor offers a degree of protection rated at IP67 NEMA 6, ensuring its durability in various environments. It provides one analog output (4-20mA) and one digital output (PNP transistor) for alarm signaling. The sensor's response time is 75ms / 0.075 s, and it has an M18 cylindrical threaded/barrel shape for installation.
