BC3-M12-AP6X Description

Turck BC3-M12-AP6X is a capacitive proximity sensor/switch that falls under the BC...-M12 series. This embeddable design sensor operates with a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. It features a chrome-plated brass housing, an ABS sensing face, and a PVC cable jacket. The sensor is connected via a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft cable terminated with bare end flying leads. Its shape is an M12 partially threaded barrel, offering an IP67 degree of protection. The maximum switching frequency is 100Hz, and it can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C. The sensor includes 1 x digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.), with a no-load current consumption of 15mA and a sensing distance of 3mm. Protection functions include short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The control circuit is rated at 200mA / 0.2 A, with a thread size of M12 and operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode.
