Panasonic SF4D-H80 is a sensor array designed for compact and robust hand-protection with intrinsic safety features, achieving safety levels of PL e / SIL3. It incorporates a light curtain sensor with an interference prevention function, external device monitoring capability using an 8-core or 12-core cable, and an interlock function that supports both manual and auto reset. Additionally, it offers an override function with a 12-core cable and a fixed blanking function. The housing is made of aluminium, while the sensing surface combines polycarbonate resin with stainless steel SUS304, and the upper and lower caps are constructed from nylon. This sensor is pre-equipped with a connector for ease of connection and operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C. It is protected to a degree of IP67, ensuring durability in various environments. The net height of the sensor, indicating its protective height, is 1590 mm. It features 2 x digital outputs (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA) for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2 and 1 x digital output (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA). The sensing distance ranges from 20cm to 9m in long mode, equivalent to 0.656 to 29.528ft, and extends up to 15m or 49.213ft for broader applications. The current consumption is rated at 120mA (0.12 A) for the emitter and 150mA (0.15 A) for the receiver. It utilizes infrared (IR) light with a wavelength of 850 nm and can detect objects as small as 25mm or 0.984 inches.
