Panasonic SF4D-H48-01 is a compact and robust hand-protection intrinsically safe safety light curtain sensor designed for a variety of safety and monitoring applications. It features an interference prevention function, external device monitoring capability compatible with 8-core or 12-core cables, an interlock function with manual or auto reset options, and an override function available with a 12-core cable. The sensor is housed in aluminum, with a sensing surface made of polycarbonate resin and stainless steel SUS304, and nylon upper and lower caps. It comes pre-equipped with a connector for ease of installation. The SF4D-H48-01 operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. It has a protective height of 950 mm and includes two digital outputs (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA) for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2, and one digital output (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA). The sensing distance ranges from 20cm to 9m in long mode, or 80cm to 15m, translating to 0.656 to 29.528 feet in long mode, or 2.625 to 49.213 feet. The current consumption is 120mA / 0.12 A for the emitter and 140mA / 0.14 A for the receiver. It utilizes infrared (IR) light with a wavelength of 850 nm and can detect objects as small as 25mm or 0.984 inches.
