Panasonic SF4D-H16-01 is a compact and robust hand-protection intrinsically safe safety light curtain sensor designed for a variety of safety applications. It features an aluminium housing with a sensing surface made of polycarbonate resin and stainless steel SUS304, and nylon upper and lower caps. This sensor is equipped with an interference prevention function, external device monitoring function compatible with 8-core or 12-core cables, an interlock function with manual or auto reset options, and an override function available with a 12-core cable. It offers a protective height of 310 mm and provides two digital outputs (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA) for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2, and one digital output (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA). The SF4D-H16-01 operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55 °C and boasts a degree of protection rated at IP67. It has a sensing distance ranging from 20cm to 9m in standard mode and 80cm to 15m in long mode, translating to 0.656 to 29.528 feet and 2.625 to 49.213 feet, respectively. The current consumption for the emitter is rated at 100mA / 0.1 A. This sensor utilizes infrared light with a wavelength of 850 nm and can detect objects as small as 25mm or 0.984 inches. It comes pre-equipped with a connector for easy installation.
