Product description
Panasonic SF4D-A48 is a sensor array designed for compact and robust arm/foot-protection with intrinsic safety features, achieving safety levels of PL e / SIL3. It incorporates a light curtain sensor with an interference prevention function, external device monitoring capability compatible with 8-core / 12-core cables, an interlock function with manual or auto reset options, an override function exclusive to the 12-core cable, and a fixed blanking function. The housing is made of aluminum, while the sensing surface is constructed from polycarbonate resin and stainless steel SUS304, with nylon used for the upper and lower caps. This sensor comes pre-equipped with a connector for ease of installation. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. The net height of the protective area is 1910 mm. For outputs, it features 2 x digital outputs for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2 and 1 x digital output, all selectable between NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA or 100mA. The sensing distance ranges from 20cm to 9m in long mode, equivalent to 0.656 to 29.528 feet, extending up to 15m or 49.213 feet. Current consumption is rated at 110mA (0.11 A) for the emitter and 160mA (0.16 A) for the receiver. The light emitted is in the infrared (IR) spectrum with a wavelength of 850 nm, capable of detecting objects as small as 45mm or 1.772 inches.
