SF4B-H56C Panasonic Safety Light Curtains

Panasonic SF4B-H56C is a sensor array designed for hand-protection and intrinsically safe applications, meeting safety Category 4 / PL e / SIL3 standards. It features a light curtain sensor with an emission halt function, external device monitoring, ELCA function for reduced mutual interference, interlock with manual or auto reset, an override function via a 12-core cable, and a large multi-purpose indicator for muting settings. Constructed from polycarbonate housing, it has a protective height of 1143.4 mm and comes pre-wired with a 5m 8-core 0.15mm2 heat-resistant PVC cable with bare end flying leads. This part offers IP65 protection, has a sensing distance of 0.3m to 7m, and operates with a current consumption of 85mA for the emitter and 120mA for the receiver. It utilizes infrared light with a wavelength of 850 nm and can detect objects as small as 25mm. The SF4B-H56C includes 2 digital outputs for safety (OSSD1+OSSD2) and 1 additional digital output, all selectable between NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc, with the safety outputs supporting 60-200mA and the additional output supporting 100mA. It features outputs short-circuit protection and has a response time of 80ms to 90ms for ON and 14ms for OFF.
