Panasonic BE-A401 is a sensor designed for detecting liquid levels within a 4mm diameter tube. It utilizes an optical bubble liquid level sensing mechanism. The housing of the sensor is made from PBT, while the tube holder is constructed from polyamide. It features a pre-wired connection with a 1-meter 4-core cabtyre cable that terminates with bare flying leads. The sensor operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25 to +55°C. It includes 1 digital output (NPN open-collector / 24Vdc / 50mA) and has a wavelength of 855 nm. The current consumption of the BE-A401 is 15mA or 0.015 A. Additionally, it is equipped with an orange LED as a visual position indicator for the absence of liquid, and it utilizes infrared (IR) light.
