Banner Engineering S18UIAR is an ultrasonic distance sensor/transmitter belonging to the S18U right-angle series. It features a time-of-flight system with TEACH mode for precise distance measurement. The sensor is housed in a thermoplastic material and comes pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable that terminates with bare end flying leads. It operates on a supply voltage range of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal values at 12Vdc and 24Vdc. Designed for operation in ambient air temperatures ranging from -20 to +60°C, the S18UIAR offers a degree of protection rated at IP67 NEMA 6P, making it suitable for challenging environments. Its M18 cylindrical threaded/barrel shape facilitates easy installation. The sensing distance of the device spans from 30mm to 300mm, and it operates at a transmission frequency of 300kHz. It includes protection functions against short-circuit and features 1 x analog output (4-20mA) for connectivity. The thread size of the sensor is M18.
