About the product

Banner Engineering M18TIP8Q-81521 is a non-contact Infrared (IR) temperature sensor/transmitter belonging to the M18T series. This sensor features an integrated optical lens and operates in TEACH mode. It is designed with a stainless steel 304 housing, ABS / Polycarbonate (PC) push button housing, Thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) push button, and an integrated lens made of acrylic light pipes. The sensor is pre-equipped with a 5-pin Euro-style M12 connector for connectivity. It requires a supply voltage of 12Vdc-30Vdc, with 24Vdc nominal. The M18TIP8Q-81521 can measure temperatures ranging from 0 to +300°C and is suitable for operation in ambient air temperatures from -20 to +70°C. It offers a high degree of protection with an IP67 NEMA 6 rating. For outputs, it provides 1 x analog output (4-20mA) and 1 x digital output (PNP transistor) for alarms. The sensor has an M18 cylindrical threaded/barrel shape and a quick response time of 75ms / 0.075 s.
