RI-10T12Z4-4B1024-H1181 Turck Encoders

Turck RI-10T12Z4-4B1024-H1181 is a compact incremental rotary encoder featuring a 2" square flange mounting and a solid shaft square flange optical sensing design. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +85°C and is pre-equipped with a radial 8-pin M12 Eurofast QD male connector for connectivity. This encoder falls under the Type RI-10 series and has dimensions including a 2" casing diameter, a 12mm shaft diameter, and a 20mm shaft length. It offers an IP65 degree of protection and supports a supply voltage range of 5Vdc to 30Vdc, accommodating 6Vdc, 12Vdc, and 24Vdc systems. The encoder operates at a frequency of up to 300kHz pulse frequency and is constructed from die-cast metal housing, with a stainless steel shaft, butyl rubber shaft seal, stainless steel disc table, and stainless steel packing ring. It utilizes the RS-422 communication protocol and has one digital output that is RS422 pulse output and TTL compatible, supporting 5Vdc to 30Vdc. The encoder is equipped with protection functions against short-circuit, bearing lock, magnetic fields, and reverse polarity. It can handle a rotational speed of up to 12000rpm, has a moment of inertia of 1.8 x 10-6kg.m2, and offers a resolution of 1024 pulses per revolution. The current consumption is 40mA with no load, and it can withstand a maximum radial load of 80 N and a maximum axial load of 40 N.
