Turck RI-12HA3T-CA5-H1181 is a compact incremental rotary encoder designed for flange with torque stop mounting. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +85°C and features a through hollow shaft flange with torque stop optical sensing. This encoder is pre-equipped with a radial 8-pin M12 Eurofast QD male connector, falling under the Type RI-12 series. It has a 2" casing diameter and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. The supply voltage requirement ranges from 5Vdc to 30Vdc, supporting 6Vdc, 12Vdc, and 24Vdc, with a pulse frequency of up to 300kHz. Constructed with a die-cast metal housing, stainless steel shaft, butyl rubber shaft seal, stainless steel disc table, and stainless steel packing ring, it ensures durability. The encoder features a 1/2" hollow shaft bore and provides 1 x digital output (open collector output; 5Vdc-30Vdc). It includes protection functions against short-circuit, bearing lock, magnetic fields, and reverse polarity. Capable of a maximum rotational speed of 6000rpm, it has a moment of inertia of 6 x 10^-6kg.m^2 and a resolution of 5ppr (pulses/revolution). The current consumption is 100mA with no load, and it can withstand a maximum radial load of 80 N and a maximum axial load of 40 N.
