Category:Redundancy Modules
Product Lifecycle:Active
Product description
PULS YR20.242 is a redundancy unit from the Y-series designed for dual-input redundancy applications (2 x inputs + 1 x output) with a built-in decoupling MOSFET, suitable for 1+1 or N+1 redundancy configurations and has ATEX approval. It operates on a supply voltage range of 8.4Vdc to 36.4Vdc, with nominal voltages of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The unit measures 32mm in width, 124mm in height, and 117mm in depth, featuring screw-clamp connections for secure installation. It is rated for a current of 20A at 28Vdc, with a derating to 1A at temperatures ranging from +60°C to +70°C. Designed for DIN rail mounting, it can operate in ambient air temperatures from -40°C to +70°C. The YR20.242 provides short-circuit protection with a 26A threshold at 6V and supports both series and parallel operations for 1+1 and N+1 redundancy, ensuring continuous operation by using two or more identical power supplies in parallel. The output voltage is maintained between 12-28Vdc, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. Power dissipation/losses are minimal, ranging from 0.6W with 2x5A input at 8.4-36.4Vdc to 2W with 2x10A input. Its electrical durability is notable, with up to 1563000 hours at 25°C with a 20A output and 2x5A input. The output stage capacitance is 320µF, and the ripple is maintained at 60mVpp across a frequency range of 20Hz to 20MHz at 50Ω.
