Pilz PILZ-6D000013 is a safety laser scanner designed for industrial automation safety applications. It features the capability to have 2 safety zones and 1 warning zone active simultaneously, with up to 10 configurable zone sets. This unit allows for the monitoring of 1 safety zone and 2 zones in total at any given time, with the flexibility to switch between 10 zone sets. It supports a maximum of 16 multiple evaluations and can detect a remission area ranging from 1.8 to 1000%. The scanner operates with a pulse duration of 3ns and a typical output power of 8mW. Up to 4 safety laser scanners can be connected in series, comprising 1 master and 3 peripherals. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +50°C and has a net height of 152 mm. The design is a control master unit with a light spot diameter of 8mm on the front plate. Connection options include an 8-pin or 12-pin M12 male connector and a 4-pin M12 connector for Ethernet communication. It boasts an IP65 degree of protection and requires a supply voltage of 19.2-30Vdc. The housing is made of aluminium with a PC top and a PMMA front screen. The net width and depth are 102 mm and 112.5 mm, respectively. Communication is facilitated via Ethernet. The sensing distance varies from 2.5m to 40m for safety and warning zones, with resolution options ranging from 30mm to 150mm. The wavelength of the laser is 905 nm, and it can be stored in temperatures ranging from -20 to +70°C. It features 2 digital outputs and 1 configurable digital output, with a response time as low as 62ms. Additionally, it includes 4 digital inputs, offers a resolution down to 30mm, and has a scan area angle of up to 275 degrees. The device is designed to operate in environments with humidity up to 95%.
