Pilz PILZ-632227 is a safety light curtain designed for hand protection, capable of detecting opaque objects as small as 30mm. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +60°C and offers a protective height of 900mm. This robust type emitter part only features a 5-pin M12 connector for both emitter and receiver, falling under the PSEN opII3H sub-range. With dimensions of 904mm in height, 35mm in width, and 40mm in depth, it is encased in an aluminium housing with zinc end caps and a PC front screen, ensuring a degree of protection rated at IP65. The device operates on a supply voltage of 18-28.8Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc, and has a maximum power consumption of 1.5W for the emitter and 2.5W for the receiver without load. It supports a sensing distance from 0.2m to 18m and utilizes infrared LED light with a wavelength of 850 nm. The light curtain allows for a maximum cable length of 50m and features two digital outputs (100mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs. Its response time varies between 8.4ms with beam coding and 15.2ms, and it is designed to operate efficiently within a storage temperature range of -25 to +70°C.
