Pilz PILZ-632112 is a safety light curtain designed for body protection, capable of detecting opaque objects as small as 300mm across an operating range of 10m to 55m. This emitter and receiver pair, part of the PSEN opII3B sub-range, features a robust design with an aluminium housing, zinc end caps, and a PC front screen. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +60°C for operation and -25 to +70°C for storage. The device offers a protective height of 900mm and comes equipped with 5-pin M12 connectors for both the emitter and receiver. With a net height of 904mm, width of 35mm, and depth of 40mm, this safety light curtain is IP65 rated, indicating protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets. It requires a supply voltage of 18-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and has a maximum power consumption of 1.5W for the emitter and 2.5W for the receiver without load. The light curtain emits infrared LED light at a wavelength of 850nm and includes two digital outputs (100mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs. Its response time is 5.2ms with beam coding and 11.7ms otherwise, ensuring quick detection of obstructions.
