Pilz PILZ-632041 is a safety light curtain designed for finger protection, capable of detecting 14mm opaque objects with an emitter and receiver pair. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +60°C and offers a protective height of 450mm. This robust type light curtain features a 5-pin M12 connector for both the emitter and receiver, falling under the PSEN opII3F sub-range. With dimensions including a net height of 454mm, a net width of 35mm, and a net depth of 40mm, it is encased in an aluminium housing with zinc end caps and a PC front screen, ensuring a degree of protection rated at IP65. The supply voltage required is 18-28.8Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc. It supports a maximum cable length of 50m and has a sensing distance operating range of 0.2m to 8m. The light curtain utilizes infrared LED (IR) light with a wavelength of 850 nm and has a power consumption of a maximum of 1.5W for the emitter and 2.5W for the receiver without load. It features two digital outputs (100mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs and offers response times of 8.4ms with beam coding and 15.2ms. The device is also designed to withstand storage temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C.
