Pilz PILZ-632028 is a safety light curtain designed for hand protection, capable of detecting opaque objects as small as 30mm. This emitter and receiver pair is part of the PSEN opII3H sub-range and is housed in a robust aluminium casing with zinc end caps and a PC front screen, ensuring durability. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +60°C for operation and -25 to +70°C for storage. The device offers a protective height of 1650mm and a net height of 1654mm, with a slim profile of 35mm in width and 40mm in depth. It features a 5-pin M12 connector for both the emitter and receiver, facilitating straightforward connectivity. The PILZ-632028 operates on a supply voltage of 18-28.8Vdc, with a nominal voltage of 24Vdc, and has a maximum power consumption of 1.5W for the emitter and 2.5W for the receiver without load. It is designed to cover a sensing distance from 0.2m to 18m, using infrared LED light with a wavelength of 850 nm for detection. The light curtain is IP65 rated, indicating protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. It also features two digital outputs (100mA) for the receiver's OSSD outputs and has a response time of 11.6ms with beam coding and 22.3ms. The maximum cable length supported is 50m, allowing for flexible installation options.
