Pilz PILZ-631157 is a safety light curtain designed for finger protection, capable of detecting 14mm opaque objects across a protective height of 1140mm. It features a slim design with an emitter and receiver pair that offers a cascading option with no dead zone. The connection is facilitated through 5-pin M12 connectors for both the emitter and receiver. This part falls under the Slim sub-range and is constructed with an aluminium housing, die-cast zinc alloy end caps, and a PMMA front screen, ensuring durability. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C for operation and -25 to +70°C for storage. The device has a net width of 15.4mm, a depth of 32.6mm, and supports a maximum cable length of 20m. With an operating range of 0.2m to 6m, it utilizes infrared LED light with a wavelength of 850 nm and has a power consumption of up to 1.6W for the emitter and 4.2W for the receiver. It features 114 beams with a 14mm beam gap, ensuring precise detection. The safety light curtain is rated IP65 for protection against dust and water ingress and operates on a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc, with 24Vdc nominal. It includes 2 digital outputs (500mA) for the receiver (OSSD outputs) and offers response times of 17ms for cascading and 20ms.
