Pilz PILZ-631028 is a safety light curtain designed for hand protection with a resolution of 30mm, capable of detecting opaque objects. It features a variety of functions including test, manual/automatic restart, EDM reset, muting, blanking, GUI coding, PNP/NPN connection, and cascading. This model operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C and has a net height of 1206.3 mm. It is designed with muting, blanking, and cascading options and has no dead zone for hand protection, comprising an emitter and receiver pair. The rated current ranges from 20mA to 300mA for an external lamp. Connection types include a 5-pin M12 connector for the emitter, a 12-pin M12 connector for the receiver in the blanking model, and both 12-pin and 5-pin M12 connectors for the receiver in the muting model. Part of the Advanced sub-range, it has a protective height of 1200mm and is IP65 rated for protection. The supply voltage is 19.2-28.8Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc. Constructed from vanished Aluminium housing, PBT terminal cap, PMMA front screen, and PC cover, it features a yellow housing. The maximum cable length is 50m, with net dimensions of 35mm in width and 40.8mm in depth. It offers a sensing distance operating range of 0.2m to 20m, uses infrared LED light with a wavelength of 950 nm, and has a power consumption of max 3 W for the emitter and max 5 W for the receiver without load. It includes 64 beams with a 30mm beam gap, two digital outputs (NPN or PNP; 500mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs, a response time of 19ms, and is suitable for storage in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C.
