Panasonic SF4D-H32-01 is a sensor array designed for hand-protection with a compact and robust structure. It features an intrinsically safe, safety light curtain sensor that meets PL e / SIL3 requirements. The sensor is equipped with an interference prevention function, external device monitoring function compatible with 8-core / 12-core cables, an interlock function with manual or auto reset options, and an override function available with a 12-core cable. The housing is made of aluminium, while the sensing surface is constructed from polycarbonate resin and stainless steel SUS304, with nylon used for the upper and lower caps. It comes pre-equipped with a connector for ease of connection. The sensor operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C and is rated with a degree of protection of IP67. It has a protective height of 630 mm and offers two digital outputs (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA) for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2, and one digital output (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA). The sensing distance ranges from 20cm to 9m in long mode, equivalent to 0.656 to 29.528 feet, and from 80cm to 15m, or 2.625 to 49.213 feet, in long mode. The current consumption is 110mA / 0.11 A for the emitter and 130mA / 0.13 A for the receiver. It utilizes infrared (IR) light with a wavelength of 850 nm and can detect objects as small as 25mm or 0.984 inches.
