SF4D-F79 Panasonic Safety Light Curtains

Panasonic SF4D-F79 is a compact and robust finger-protection intrinsically safe safety light curtain sensor designed for a variety of protective applications. It features an interference prevention function, external device monitoring capability compatible with 8-core or 12-core cables, an interlock function with both manual and auto reset options, an override function available with 12-core cable, and a fixed blanking function. The housing is made of aluminum, while the sensing surface is constructed from polycarbonate resin and stainless steel SUS304, with nylon used for the upper and lower caps. This sensor comes pre-equipped with a connector for ease of installation. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. The protective height of the sensor is 790 mm, and it includes two digital outputs (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA) for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2, and one digital output (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA). The sensing distance ranges from 20cm to 7m in standard mode and 80cm to 12m in long mode, with a current consumption for the emitter at 120mA or 0.12 A. It utilizes infrared light with a wavelength of 850 nm and can detect objects as small as 14mm or 0.551".
