SF4D-F55-01 Panasonic Safety Light Curtains

Panasonic SF4D-F55-01 is a sensor array designed for finger-protection with intrinsic safety features, achieving safety levels of PL e / SIL3. It is a compact and robust light curtain sensor, featuring an interference prevention function, external device monitoring capability compatible with 8-core / 12-core cables, and an interlock function with both manual and auto reset options. An override function is available when using a 12-core cable. The housing is made of aluminum, while the sensing surface is constructed from polycarbonate resin and stainless steel SUS304, with nylon used for the upper and lower caps. This sensor comes pre-equipped with a connector for ease of installation. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. The net height of the protective area is 550 mm. It provides two digital outputs (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA) for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2 and one additional digital output (selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA). The sensing distance ranges from 20cm to 7m in standard mode and extends from 80cm to 12m in long mode. Current consumption is rated at 120mA (0.12 A) for the emitter and 140mA (0.14 A) for the receiver. The light curtain operates with an infrared light color at a wavelength of 850 nm and can detect objects as small as 14mm (0.551").
