Panasonic SF4C-H16-J05 is a sensor array designed for hand-protection and intrinsically safe applications, meeting safety Category 4 / PL e / SIL3 standards. It features a light curtain sensor with external device monitoring, ELCA function for reduced mutual interference, interlock function with manual or auto reset, override function through a 12-core cable, and fixed blanking function. Constructed from polycarbonate with a polycarbonate alloy sensing surface, it connects via a pre-wired 0.5m / 50cm 12-core 0.15mm2 heat-resistant PVC cable ending in an M12 connector. This part offers IP65 protection, has a protective height of 320 mm, and includes 2 digital outputs for safety (OSSD1+OSSD2) and 1 additional digital output, all selectable between NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA for safety outputs and 100mA for the additional output. It operates within a sensing distance of 0.1m-3m and uses infrared light with a wavelength of 855 nm. The response times are 90ms for ON and 7ms for OFF, and it can detect objects as small as 25mm in diameter.
