Panasonic SF4C-F55-J05 is a sensor array designed for finger-protection and intrinsically safe applications, meeting safety Category 4 / PL e / SIL3 standards. It features an external device monitoring function, ELCA function for reducing mutual interference automatically, an interlock function with manual or auto reset, an override function through a 12-core cable, and a fixed blanking function. The housing is made of polycarbonate, and the sensing surface is a polycarbonate alloy. It connects via a pre-wired 0.5m / 50cm 12-core 0.15mm2 heat-resistant PVC cable ending in an M12 connector. This sensor offers a degree of protection rated at IP65. The protective height is 560 mm. It includes 2 x digital outputs (Selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA) for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2 and 1 x digital output (Selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA). The sensing distance ranges from 0.1m to 3m (100-3000mm or 0.326-9.843ft), uses infrared (IR) light with a wavelength of 855 nm, and can detect objects as small as 14mm (0.551"). The response time is 90ms (0.09 s) for ON and 9ms (0.009 s) for OFF.
