About the product

Anybus by HMS Networks AB7985-F is a gateway within the X-gateway series designed for protocol translation. It functions as a PROFIBUS master and a PROFINET-IRT Fiber Optic device, facilitating communication between different industrial networks. The gateway requires vertical or flat installation and features galvanic isolation on both BUS and Ethernet sides to prevent electrical interference. Configuration is managed via a USB port using the Anybus Configuration Manager software. The device is equipped with 10 LED indicators for monitoring fieldbus, sub-network, and device status. It operates on a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc, with a nominal voltage of 24Vdc, and has dimensions of H127mm x W44mm x D114mm. The housing is made from aluminium and plastic, ensuring durability and resilience. Connection options include 2 x SC-RJ fiber optic network LAN connectors, 1 x 9-pin D-sub female connector for PROFIBUS, 1 x 9-pin D-sub male connector for PROFIBUS and RS-232 configuration, 1 x 2-poles 5.08mm plug-in screw connector for power, and 1 x USB connector. The AB7985-F offers an IP20 and NEMA 1 degree of protection and is designed for DIN rail mounting. It supports PROFIBUS and PROFINET communication protocols and can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25 to +65°C. The current consumption is 400mA at maximum and 200mA typically. It is suitable for storage in temperatures from -40 to +85°C and can handle humidity levels of 5-95% RH non-condensing. The gateway's speed capabilities are 100Mbit/s for PROFINET and up to 12Mbit/s for PROFIBUS.
