AB7943-F HMS Networks Industrial Automation Components

Anybus by HMS Networks AB7943-F is a gateway belonging to the X-gateway series designed for protocol translation. This gateway functions as a CANopen slave and PROFINET-IRT Fiber Optic device, facilitating communication between different industrial networks. It supports installation in both vertical and flat positions and features galvanic isolation on both the BUS and Ethernet sides to protect against electrical interference. Configuration of the I/O is managed via a USB port using the Anybus Configuration Manager software. The device includes 2 node address switches (x10 / x1), 1 baud rate switch, and 10 LED indicators for monitoring fieldbus, sub-network, and device status. It operates on a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and has dimensions of H127mm x W44mm x D114mm. The housing is made from aluminium and plastic, ensuring durability while maintaining a lightweight design. Connection interfaces include 2 SC-RJ fiber optic network LAN connectors, 1 9-pin D-sub male connector for CANopen, 1 2-poles 5.08mm plug-in screw connector for power, and 1 USB connector for configuration. The AB7943-F offers an IP20 and NEMA 1 degree of protection and is designed for DIN rail mounting. It supports the CANopen and PROFINET communication protocols, operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25 to +65 °C for operation and -40 to +85 °C for storage. The current consumption is 400mA (max) and 200mA (typical) at 24Vdc. Data transmission speeds are 100Mbit/s for PROFINET and 10kbit/s to 1Mbit/s for CANopen slave. The device is designed to operate in environments with 5-95% relative humidity (non-condensing).
