About the product

Anybus by HMS Networks AB7516-F is a gateway designed for protocol translation within the X-gateway series. It functions as an Interbus CU slave and a PROFINET-IRT device, featuring Ethernet dual-port cut-through switch. The device is configured via a USB port using Anybus Configuration Manager software and supports installation in both vertical and flat positions. It includes galvanic isolation on both BUS/Ethernet sides and offers a baud rate that can be adjusted via a jumper. The gateway is equipped with 10 LED indicators for monitoring fieldbus, sub-network, and device status. It operates on a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and has dimensions of H127mm x W44mm x D114mm. The housing is made of aluminium and plastic, ensuring compatibility with 2 x RJ45 connectors for 10/100Mbit/s Ethernet (full duplex, fixed), 1 x 9-pin D-sub male connector for Interbus (bus-in), 1 x 9-pin D-sub female connector for Interbus (bus-out), 1 x 2-poles 5.08mm plug-in screw connector for power (X3), and 1 x USB connector (X4). It offers a degree of protection of IP20 NEMA 1 and is designed for DIN rail mounting. The AB7516-F supports the INTERBUS and PROFINET communication protocols, operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25...+65°C, and consumes a maximum of 400mA current at 24Vdc (200mA typical). It is designed for storage in temperatures ranging from -40...+85°C and can operate in environments with 5-95% relative humidity (non-condensing). The speed supported is 10/100Mbit/s for PROFINET and 500kbit/s to 2Mbit/s for INTERBUS.
